I like that intro--great little ethereal melody line, leading into a simple guitar-ish line, with whispered fx coming in just right. Your vocals are very good on this one--they're expressive and real. I like the spoken word samples mixed in, as well as some of the things going on in the background. This song is very evocative--it effectively uses a mix full of surprises to convey something a bit more than the usual song along this lyrical path. It's mildly experimental, and entirely engaging. I really like the way that you have so much going on, and yet it never feels over-layered.
I think that for me, if I were remixing, I'd be wondering if I should bring the beats up and giving it more of an IDM feel--but to be honest, I wouldn't, and, if anything, would go further down the experimental path then you have--this song really works for me, because the lyrics are set in a mysterious and rich setting that makes them work.
